16 June 2025

A socially awkward fast-wood waiter, meets an equally awkward oddball video-game clerk, at a costume party. Their love for animal costumes brings them together at the University of Sydney’s O-week festival of 2003. Four legs, three smiles, two men, and one costume wrestle for centre-stage. Set on the mickey-mouse bed sheets of your local second hand shop, all parties dig their heels in, refusing to give up the fight.

I’m worried about the baggage retrieval system at Heathrow

A man plays his harmonica on the 426.

The share-houses of Sydney really opened my eyes.

A man’s knees in my back on the bus. Squirming their pointed edges through the graffiti upholstery. I hold onto the yellow handrail and smell the flowers.

I like how the buses make the footsteps run along the footpaths. Foot-runs for buses.

23 May 2025

I love when elderly strangers strike up a conversation on the bus. Talking about a retirement village in the hills. I’ve probably driven past it at some point. I continue to sip on my orange juice. I blow in and out of the straw as if the paper carton is an extension of my lungs. They say goodbye as he jumps of the bus, final words about duolingo. God bless.

I should have known at the dead bat and the flood

Rain flowing on the pavement told me to run.

30th April 2025

“I felt that the trees and flowers suffered as I did. I often refused to pluck a flower for fear it would be greived to leave its friends. At times I dreaded to walk lest I should kill some helpless insect on the ground. I pictured its little ones home awaiting its return, day after day, yet waiting in vain.

My playmates- the birds and the flowers.

20 March 2025

ok! count every ant you squish on the ground, hold your friends upside-down. hate your phone and love dinosaurs. Adam and Steves apple will meet purple and green plants on the footpath. Have we seen all the good pigeons?

I heart teddy.

Eating an Uber Eats burger thinking about a paddington knit jumper at the easter show.

A mother’s touch. Mum likes to watch ads. Mum likes to knit.

-A honda out front and a dinosaur watching over the living room. The beginning and the end? I am going through changes.

Batman drives the trains that BigBird is on. Batman still has to go to work and on the way to work Batman admires the people of Redfern station. Yellow Handrails and the same security guard at the door everyweek. Missing someone in the sunset (you can call them after work).

I close my eyes and see the trees from the back window in wisteria

-and everything is calm.
